Textiles
My textile pieces are very diverse and organic. I love working with texture and colour, combining stitch with other mediums. Sometimes I hand embellish needle felting, or just create a piece using free machine embroidery. I might stitch over a monoprint or directly onto paper.
There are no rules - just being brave and intuitive!

Unique needle felted lap top case
This piece was made from scraps of handmade felt I have left over from making a laptop case. I have always loved hares and decided to add a couple dancing in the moonlight. It was sold to a very good friend of mine.
I love the therapy of crochet and here I have made some little bowls to keep those important items in. You can find them in my Etsy shop.

Needle felting and hand embroidered. This piece was inspired by a summer meadow in Switzerland filled with flowers. I love the green pallet of these wool tops that originated from Japan.
I love needle felting and embroidery and this was inspired by the tiny Caribbean Leeward Island of Nevis dominated by a volcano covered in rain forest, teaming with monkeys, birds and insects, vibrant in all shades of green, glorious sunsets and crystal clear sea. We stayed here for our honeymoon and returned 30 years later, staying in a tree house in the rain forest.
